Australian E-commerce sold 2.5$ Billion on the Boxing Day Sale Last Month

The sales season is at its peak during the last week of the year considering the fact that most businesses try to clear as much stock as they move into the next year. The online sales saw a gigantic number in the sales conducted on the boxing day which reportedly amounts to a figure of 2.5$ Billion. This is a new record for the E-commerce sales in the country shattering the previous record by a handsome margin.
After the sale conducted on the Boxing Day, it is expectedly estimated that consumers would be spending a sum of whopping 18.3$ Billion by the mid-January itself. The data is speculated from the 25th of December to 14th January. The market projections were reportedly indicating an incline in the average sale done by the E-commerce platforms by 3.2%.
These sums are a collective figure garnered by compiling the sale by different territories individually. The figure collected shows that New South Wales has emerged with the highest numbers of 790$ Billion which is followed by Victoria with a figure of 786$ Billion in a very slight difference of meagre 40$ Million.
