With over 50,000 seasonal positions Amazon is successfully competing with other e-commerce portals this festive season.

New Delhi: For a neck-to-neck competes with the rivals e-commerce portals in this festive season sale, Amazon has recruited more than 50,000 professionals this year. It has over 50 fulfillment centers of network, multiple sortation centers close to 150 delivery stations across the country.

With its much-awaited “Great Indian Festival Sale”, Amazon is achieving huge success during this sale, because of the hard work and investment made in ramping up its infrastructure and delivery network across the country.

In an interview:-

"In our effort to provide a seamless shopping experience, we have enhanced our teams significantly with more than 2X the number of seasonal associates working in the Amazon fulfillment network and customer service sites compared to the last festive season... The 50,000 seasonal associates will help us in augmenting our capabilities," said by the Amazon India Vice President (India Customer Fulfilment) Akhil Saxena.



He further adds that this enhancement will play an "instrumental" role in "driving an exceptional experience" during Amazon India's Great Indian Festival Sale that is slated to be held between 10th to 15th October.

Saxena also said that the seasonal positions are being created across its network of fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations and customer service sites in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune and others to successfully compete with the rivals. 

Lastly, he also adds that the recruits will join the thousands of associates to help pick, pack, ship and deliver customers' orders more efficiently. 

Amazon is very well aware of the purchasing habits of online shoppers and thus it has adapted this unique strategy to face and compete the rival e-commerce portal during this festive season.

According to a report by RedSeer, about 20 million people is expected to buy products from various e-commerce platforms during the festive season, and Amazon is working very hard to achieve huge success during the festive sale.
