Apple Cottage, Ebberston
Post by Uzma Kidwai | Nov 18, 2016
Sitting on a rocking chair, reading books after retirement, gazing out from the window at the beautiful blossoms will definitely make you all happy but you know what the thought that I have wasted this divine experience running after money would definitely irk you. But as it is said that we can’t turn back the hands of the time, isn’t it worth making the best out of the present time? Think!!!
I am not asking anyone of you to take long holidays because that will hinder your work but how about making your weekend a long and happy one? Yes, it is possible, but only if you escape the hustle-bustle city life and give some time to yourself. Not really a difficult task, if you wants so so!!!
Ya, Ya, now that am suggesting you all the idea of short getaways I know that you would be waiting for me to recommend more about the quick trips to appease your heart and calm down your mind.
You know what? I have a superb idea for you all. Why not hide down at a place where there is only nature around you and no cars honking or pollution? Sounds cool? I am sure even your loved ones would appreciate you for taking them out there.
Well, am talking about the beautiful Apple Cottage, in Ebberston near Pickering. A cottage? Yes, you read it right. For how long would you keep on investing in plush hotels, giving you artificial ambiance and customer service with a fake smile? It’s time to change your way of holidaying sir!!!
The cottage is a former apple store and also one of a group of five cottages, which are nestled around a gravelled courtyard in the village of Ebberston. It is close to the popular North York Moors National Park.
Wake up to the bright mornings, and enjoy cuppa tea with your beloved in the well-maintained gardens and grounds of four acres, including a Victorian walled garden around the cottage. Hmm, this means there’s enough place for your kids to play also.
Outside there a pond and stream set in woodland. You can also find an orchard and Italianate garden outside there, where you can live up your dream of silently reading a book or playing guitar with your partner beside.
The cottage has one bedroom on the ground floor. Hmmm, means it perfect for couples, who are looking for a ‘we-time’ may be the newly-weds!!! However, if you are a family man and can’t go out without your little bundle of joy then too it’s a perfect place as it gives cot for your baby (babies only less than 6 months are allowed).
Besides, beautiful surroundings and swanky rooms you will also get a bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, basin, and WC. On the first floor is spacious sitting room. And yes, you get a kitchen with dining area.
Being a little playful is no bad deal, so you can enjoy games at the games room there. And if swimming is your favorite sport then enjoy the splash in the indoor pool. Oops! I missed that no pets allowed.
You can also indulge in outside activities in places like horse riding centre, a 9 hole golf course, children playground and mountain biking for maximum fun.
I hope my suggestion worked and now you are also inspired to plan a getaway to the cottage and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones!
Till we meet next, take care :)
