How much is the deposit for a booking?
The deposit is 20% of the property cost before any extras. Extras are added to the final balance. All deposits are non-refundable. Most payment methods are accepted except AMEX.
When is the final balance due?
The final balance must be paid 8 weeks before arrival. Paying early is possible using the online system with your booking reference. Log in to manage your payment easily.
Can the cost of a holiday be split into payments?
Flexible payment options allow the cost to be spread over several months. All payments must be complete 8 weeks before the holiday. This helps with budgeting for your stay.
How can a booking be changed or cancelled?
Changes or cancellations must be made in writing. If the property can be re-let, a refund is given minus an admin fee. If not, monies paid are kept by Habitat Escapes. Separate cancellation insurance is recommended.
Are group bookings allowed?
Group bookings are welcome, with properties sleeping up to 12 guests. For larger groups, more than one property may be arranged. Stag or hen parties are not allowed on the estates.
What is included in each stay?
Every property comes with basic cleaning items, some toiletries, bed linen, and towels. A welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, and milk is included. Special requests can be made by contacting the team.
Are optional extras available for arrival?
Optional extras such as logs, BBQ charcoal, travel cots, and highchairs can be added. These can be booked at the time of reservation or arranged by email before arrival.
How do guests access the property?
Seven days before arrival, an email is sent with the entrance gate code and key instructions. Key collection is from a key safe at the property. Check-in and check-out times depend on estate and season.
Can water sports equipment be brought to the estate?
Personal water sports equipment is allowed if guests have their own insurance and safety gear. A life jacket or buoyancy aid must be worn on all lakes.
Are BBQs or fireworks permitted on site?
BBQs, fireworks, and Chinese lanterns are not allowed on the estates. This is for safety reasons. Fireworks may still be heard from nearby areas during certain times of year.
