What do you find most rewarding about your job?
The most fulfilling part of my work is that it helps people save money and shop smart. Each day, I discover the best deals, verify them, and make sure they are available, so customers can enjoy real savings without the hassle of searching endlessly for bargains.
It's rewarding to know that a code I've tested and implemented may allow someone to buy something they genuinely need or treat themselves without overspending. I also enjoy the variety of the job. No two days are the same, and there’s always something new to learn, whether it’s a flash sale, a limited-time promotion, or an exclusive offer we can share with our users.
Another rewarding aspect is the trust our users place in us. It motivates me to ensure every offer is accurate and valuable. Working with merchants and receiving positive feedback from satisfied customers makes the effort worthwhile.
In the end, knowing I’m helping people get more for their money while being part of a reliable platform like Collect Offers makes this role so fulfilling.
What is the one thing online shoppers often overlook when trying to save money?
Something that I always notice online shoppers forget when trying to save money is the timing of their purchases. Many people search for discount vouchers or flash sales, but they often overlook how important it can be when you shop. Merchant trends and prices usually drop during specific times like payday sales, end-of-season clearances, or big shopping events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or stock clearances.
Most consumers purchase an item as soon as they can, without considering that a bigger sale might happen soon. Simply waiting a few days or signing up for a merchant's newsletter can inform you of upcoming sales that offer better discounts. You can also use price history resources to track fluctuations and buy when prices drop.
By ignoring the importance of timing, shoppers miss the chance to combine sales or find limited-time deals. Smart bargain hunting isn’t just about using a code; it's about knowing when to buy. Being patient and staying informed can lead to much bigger savings than going for the first option.
How does your team collaborate to keep deal fresh and Up to date?
Our deal team of experts works closely together to make sure all deals are new and current. We start by separating merchants into two groups, primary and basic. Primary merchants are those who are more important, sometimes high-traffic or revenue-driving brands. These ones are reviewed on a daily basis by the team to ensure all their present deals are added in a timely manner. This daily scan enables us to make the best deals up for grabs and available to customers each day.
The second category, the one we refer to as basic brands, is checked weekly. As great as these businesses are, they might not bring in quite the same traffic, but a weekly check ensures that none of their deals are overlooked or stale. By reviewing primary merchants on a daily basis and basic merchants on a weekly basis, we're playing it smart and keeping information updated for all brands.
This organised system allows the team members to share the load effectively. Everyone concentrates on their own merchants, and through constant coordination and communication, we prevent duplication or leakage of deal updates. Consequently, customers on our website always come across current offers, either from a big brand or a small merchant.
